A downloadable game for Windows

Coop puzzle-plattformer made for the GMTK Jam 2021.

Features

  • Watercolors!
  • Bombs!
  • Ragtime!
  • Elbow-rubbing keyboard coop! (Gamepad works too)
  • Wonky Unity Physics! (aka speedrunning features)

The Game

You are Slick and Hefty, two chain gang brothers on the run. Slick’s the dexterous one, Hefty’s the muscle. Both like to think of themselves as the brain of the operation (neither are). For complicated reasons their ball chain is – unfortunately – a bomb that starts burning whenever it touches the ground. You’ll have to navigate them safely to Mexico without the bomb blowing up in your face. Good luck!

Controls

Keybindings are explained in-game. "Bomb" is used to pick it up, aim and throw. Aim by holding the button, then release it. Hefty can also yank the bomb towards him.

You can play the game with up to two gamepads. If no gamepads are connected, players rub elbows on a single keyboard. Gamepads are only recognized on startup!

If you're playing alone we recommend that no active controllers are connected. Then you can control both characters with the keyboard, which is easier.

The story so far...

...is on the right!

galse22 is the game good

Hey mate. I saw that you were on the LTGDGMTK sprite sheet thingy. I'd like to say that I will not be playing your game because there is no Web build. Since I saw you only have 2 games on your profile, I highly recommend you to make a Web build for game jams. It is more practical for everyone, but you, and therefore you'll probably get more ratings.

Yeah we're def. aware but getting Unity to do a Web build can be a bit of a hassle, especially if you're working with larger file sizes (audio & images), while a Windows build is usually a safe bet. So between risking a Web build failing or a guaranteed upload we preferred the latter.
